The library has an extensive collection of local photographs, including the archives and microfilm of The Mercury-Indepent and The Navigator newspapers.  Bound copies of The Prairie Post and Albion Journal, local history documents, books, maps, and artifacts are also available.

Online genealogy databases are available for in-library use, along with an in-house genealogy database including over 370,000 individuals with local ties.

Copies of obituaries or news articles may be obtained, if exact dates are known, by calling (618) 375-7121.  A small fee applies to cover postage, copies, etc.
